As a self-employed IT/tech recruiter, I signed up for a paid subscription, an investment of approximately €1,670. This was based on two detailed sales pitches in which I was specifically assured of two things: that the vast majority of relevant candidate profiles were in the database and that the filtering by current job titles worked reliably. However, the reality was quite different when I used it for my first real project: – Of the candidates I had already identified, around 31% (117 profiles) were missing from the database. – A simple search for current job titles yielded over 650 vague results, while the same search on LinkedIn returned 55 matching profiles. The title filtering did not work for me. For a business that relies on valid market data, the tool was therefore unusable for my purposes. What particularly disappointed me was that the issues I identified were confirmed to me by the provider themselves – including a new scraping agreement to close data gaps and an erroneous upgrade of profiles in search results. Despite this admission, there was no refund and, in my view, no genuine attempt at compensation; I was bound to the minimum contract period. Furthermore, communication afterward felt sluggish, and I haven't received any response for days now. > > My conclusion: Anyone considering purchasing this service should absolutely get any promises made during sales conversations in writing and test the database beforehand with their own real-world searches before entering into a paid contract with a minimum term. Based on my experience, I currently cannot recommend this tool for specialized, high-quality sourcing.
