Hoxhunt - Avis

It's extremely easy to use and not manual setup needed for the user if implemented by an organization.
Simulated trainings can be sent to non opted-in users and easy instructions help them get enrolled.
Simulations ramp up to become very realistic, and even very knowledgeable users have to do double-takes.
Very short, non-intrusive, learning snippets for each simulation explain things like sense of urgency, how to check links and best practices well.
Users in my teams have over the past two years started reporting anything suspicious, and it's a big difference from before implementing Hoxhunt.

I think the training ceiling could be increased a bit to avoid having users instinctively report (expecting a simulation training) and treat an email as 'safe' if it turns out not to be a threat simulation.

What I like about the software is that it is intuitive to the process in your everyday use of Outlook / emails. There is not alot of steps you need to make. See something, say something etc..

Trickery - it's not necessarily bad, just that a couple times I feel like I was duped when either missing an email or deleted knowing it wasn't for me.

Hoxhunt has given me more awareness about spam and junk emails and how they compromise our information, more than any other similar platform I have used. The feature I found most attractive is the simulated spam emails and how we get points when we identify and report the emails. It feels like I am playing a game but actually I am getting educated at the same time i get a sense of achievement when I unlock more and more levels.

I recently reported an actual spam email. The initial response was the status was unsure. I was told I might not get the result of that reporting but your team will do everything in the background. I was unsatisfied with it. It was the time I actually reported a spam email and I wanted to hear the results after the analysis.

The system send out test emails to keep you on your toes. It can also work with emails you detect and secure them until the review of their being legitimate people/companies with out fear of being hacked or possible scammed.

Not sure if the emails always get noticed. Reviewing of the overall progress make me wonder what I missed.

Love the gamification of the platform. Leaderboards and levels make it fun to train everything cybersecurity.

Some of the training are obvious and very easy to detect.

I think it's a very useful tool for safety and for practicing in order to recognize alarm bells right away.

At the moment I have not found any flaws. In case I find one I will report it in the future.

As a user is a very nice way to add gamification for the thread learning

While Hoxhunt offers valuable cybersecurity training, some users might find the constant simulated phishing attacks disruptive to their workflow. Additionally, the frequent training notifications can be perceived as repetitive, potentially leading to training fatigue.

Instant feedback when a test message is either detected or followed by a user. I was trapped once but thankfully it was a linkedin related message I opened on a phone. BUSTED! Sends periodic realistic scam-type emails to see if you're paying attention. Quickly evaluates real spam and scam messages that you click the Hoxhunt button for in Outlook. Works seamlessly. Keeps track of your progress with an overall armor rating that people around you easily see when you get a message. Also people actively talk about catching test messages now keeping security on our minds between annual trainings or corporate reminders.

Doesn't seem to do much about spam emails. Reporting them doesn't seem to get tracked.

I love using the product. It greatly assists in our awareness of phishing scams and other cyber criminal activities. It give you real life example in a live environment which is great. It teaches one to be ever observant as malicious email can arrive at any time. It teaches one a great deal on how to protect oneself and the company.

I paused the trainings during my holidays but it continued to send them and marked that I had missed the emails which was not the came. All other aspects were great.

Interacting with Hoxhunt doesn't feel like a duty. Reporting mails that you think might be suspicious or part of a training becomes natural activity and gaining ranks, seeing scoreboards makes it even better.

I haven't had any bad experiences with Hoxhunt. It plays its role perfectly - it teaches and entertains.

We use Hoxhunt for its simulated phishing email service. They'll send fake phishing emails to me and my coworkers to train us to recognize and thwart the real deal. It's a lot of fun and makes me actually want to check my email!

I don't really engage with hoxhunt often or deeply - I'm just on the user side for the phishing emails, which come in irregularly, roughly once a month (as intended, to avoid people from getting to expect these and spoiling the training). So I'm not really in a position to have a negative opinion of any aspect of hoxhunt

I love that Hoxhunt is always trying to trick me into opening dangerous emails. Now when I look at a suspicious email I think, "Not today Hoxhunt"

Sometimes sketchy emails get caught in my spam filter so it's more difficult to report them.

Its so simple and easy to use gives that little bit of extra protection against spam

As a user, I find myself very skilled in detecting treats, Hoxhunt made me fall a couple of times. The quality of the messages sent are excellent, it helps me to stay much more aware of the possible dangers in email messages. I like to see how I'm going in the rankings.

Nothing, the frequency of the messages, easy to use, is adequate.

The simulated threat attacks. They are actually hard to detect and keeps me learning new things about attacks.

I oddly love partaking in the Hoxhunt challenges - I love the competition aspect! It's also made me MUCH more aware of spam emails.

Sometimes the test phishing email are routed to my Spam folder, so I miss them and get behind my colleagues in the competition! (not a real con, but it's the only aspect I don't like - I'm too competitive).

The security training mails which help to identify possible threats is really very helpful

There is nothing that I didn't like, there are only pros to use this product

User Engagement: Some of my colleagues find the Hoxhunt security training modules to be repetitive or uninteresting.
