Rent Manager - Avis

Rent Manager is an all in one solution for us - managing property, accounting, communication tools, etc. They have great friendly customer service.

There are several feature requests that have been submitted and they can be a little slow on addresses those items.

I like that my clients can streamline payments

Some bugs in the new software. Micheal was very helpful but some of the issues were new.

Lots of options.

To do anything you need to go through 15 settings situated in different places.
Very difficult to figure things out without training for each and every feature..
Management posting fees are not customizable.
Expensive.
Doesn't come with automatic bank reco, only for another $100/month, which would be even more expensive.

I like the automation options and the reporting capabilities are as robust as any management program, including Yardi

Rent Manager does a poor job of advertising its features. I am always looking for opportunities to automate and simplify operations. I ask what else can be done, and the only answer I get from anyone is, "What problem are you trying to solve?" That is backward to me. What can the program do?
More can be done for the commercial side.

Rent Manager makes sense. It's an easy layout that is customizable, has all the reports you could ever want and is easy to learn and use.

I have had it shut down on me a few times for not enough memory in my session but since RMX has come out, that is no longer an issue.

That is is very user friendly, and I like the fact I can multi email residents with important messages.

When I cannot figure out something on my own, however there is always someone to help. :)

The simplicity of the program makes it a breeze to navigate with multiple properties and a variety of owners

There're honestly no cons to the program, it covers all the needs of our portfolio

Rent Manager is very user friendly all-encompassing of our needs as a rental property company. It does it all and it's all in one place. And whenever I have a question, the software help is always very friendly and patient with me. The question I have always gets answered while they show me exactly how to do it myself.

The only thing I can think of is that if I'm working remotely, I can't access it from an iPad, it must be a laptop.

it's hard to say, if I don't like anything, as this software is extremely complicated (not in a bad way) very minor fixes would streamline some stuff.

The interface is super easy to use. You can pick and choose what each employee has access to. It has awesome integrations from other applications.

I would like a better inventory tracking option.

It does exactly what I need it to do. I have used several other programs and Rent Manager far exceeds the others!

That I haven't learned everything it has to offer yet.

I find Rent Manager easy to learn and navigate. I didn't have official training but learned quickly how to do the basics. I've been using Rent Manager for 8 years and still discover easy ways to do things, better ways and new things!

None really. Any questions I've had or issues have been fixed with ease

Trying to figure everything out on my own is hard. But, the support at Rent Manager is the best I've ever experienced.

The customer service is outstanding an the software is superior to the other products that I have used.

Honestly I do not have anything that I do not like about Rent Manager.

THat is has so many features and that they have amazing customer support!

When sending emails to multiple tenants I can't attached to each tenant a different attachment because all tenants will received it. Instead I need to redo the attachment process each time.

I was without RM for about 2 weeks due to a switch of management, you never know how much you need RM until your unable to use RM. I feel this is a GREAT product.

I don't have any con's at this moment and I have not ran into any issues unsolved.

Very easy to use if you take the time to actually do things correctly. Example- inserting task to ensure something is done.

Loses connection quiet often, but it usually connects right away.

I like that a test unit or tenant can be made in Rent Manager if you are working on a new feature or application process and you can test it prior to finalizing it and informing everyone about it.

I do not like the fact that when certain features are not turned on, then a user does not have access and it takes a few tries to find out that the administrator needs to turn does features on.
