Desktime Monitoring and time tracking feature is more powerful compare to any software and it also help to counting employees attendance.

Some employees said that when I use google for my work that it's not counted in productivity and I think that is not good cause google searching also work for that employee.

Easy to use version - Stealth and Public/ User interactive mode;The ease of deployment and maintenance;Support on queries/ concerns;

Stealth mode is works in partial mode (it's not completely invisible);Sometimes it could have dependency with device and internet (issues with it's cont. tracking);With frequent internet packet loss, there are chances the data might not get captured.

The ability to gauge the productive time of each employee and encourage employee performance.

DeskTime is a great software, I wish the cost was more affordable.

Very good with real time tracking. But can improve further to capture productive time more accuractely.

if i am on team call (via microsoft Teams or Zoom) and the other person on the call is talking and if i am just listening the time doesn't get tracked as productive time. This is a problem. So time is getting under recorded.

DeskTime is a good product and easy to use for the IT sector Employee.It has a very small and easy installation process so that any one can easily install it and use it .It is very useful for software company to monitor their employee and growing up their productivity.

There are not any features not is least like all the features are good and designed well.

I really like the time management , effectiveness , and employee productive .

as such there is no cons or lest like but yes there is one point like somewhere there are such site which is useful fur it shows neutral in desktime

Desktime is very useful to monitor all employees productivity and it also track web browsing urls which was visited by an employee. It also takes Screenshots for what users doing in their systems.

Desktime has not been a downside. But when I had some issues their IT and customer service sorted it out quickly. In additional, they can reduce some cost.

I liked time management system, clocking system, tracking, monitoring employee activities.

As there is no such cons. Check in check out is the least feature about DeskTime.

I am really thankful to Desktime to providing that great tool to tack the employee's activity.

Desktime needs to be work on the Costing or discount part also.

Monitoring the team through this software is much easier comparing to other software, tracking idle time of the employee is also effective in terms of getting productivity out of the team

Customer support is very pathetic, no proper response and resolution provided to the queries

Time tracking, billing, ideal time, productive time, activity tracking - as HR Head these features have helped me a lot to monitor my employees' work. The best part is integration, also we don't really have to log in, we simply have desk time running in the background, so no more reminding employees to fill in their timesheets.

If this could have helped us in Project Management, assigning tasks, checking their task completion, mentioning other EOD reports, etc, this software would have been more helpful to me. An added advantage would be reminders for tasks or other functions related to my department especially.

Desk time is very user-friendly as a tool - for both the admin and the user. The good thing is that it tracks every small thing every single day, which helps to keep team members accountable in a remote work setting. It also eliminates the need to have a separate process for attendance.

I don't particularly appreciate that it does not track time while someone is simply reading. It would be awesome to have a feature that can do that in the future.There is a feature to add idle time - to fill it in if the time was not getting tracked or if the team member forgot to log in. But, that either has to be a separate color or a pop-up above it - or an indicator that can show if some member has filled in the idle time from the setting.

So, it’s been almost two years having “Desktime” monitoring/tracking us, and we found it is very impressive and easy solution.
The kind of reports and support they provides; we don’t think any contenders would be offering in this arena currently.

So, We received a concern from the users that sometimes its get unresponsive and than need to restart the software.

I love the dashboard, both for admin use and for the employee view. There is much good information to see at a glance. The reports/exports are also very useful.

I would love to see a task management system (including daily/weekly recurring tasks) be implemented in DeskTime instead of having to use an external program.

DeskTime is easily accessed on multiple devices if you have several or want to use a smartphone app. Install time is minimal, and web access makes it accessible 24/7 from anywhere. Great for AOP and budgeting appropriately for future impactful change in the business unit. Allows better coverage for absences of all types.

There is little to dislike. However, gaps in work time should be easier to manage. Working with end-users and walking away or having walk-in unexpected visitors create various gaps. Maybe if you could highlight several gaps at a time to change to all 'not idle'/productive, it would alleviate the redundancy of changing them one by one so you can label the event with 'meeting' or walk-in, etc.

apart from the obvious tracking and monitoring of the teams, I have found desk time to be very helpful in managing my work life balance. Reminds me to take a break, stand up and stitch and drink some water etc. This sounds simple and obvious but sometimes you lose track of time and so these small reminders really help you relax and re-focus which makes you more productive!

The fact that screenshots are taken in the background - that is not very security smart

-Administrative rights are defined correctly

-Lacking significant alerts
-Private time can't be mapped to specific periods within the day
-Full-screen applications override private-time notifications

The Time Tracking is a big plus. We also really like the project feature.

I think that the integrations are great, but can be worked on. For example, with the Trello Integration, it does sync with DeskTime at a really good interval, however, if we delete or edit a task or project in Trello, it does not edit and/ or delete the task or project in DeskTime. Editing the times that employees log is a little cumbersome as an administrator. I should be able to edit or delete extra time that was logged incorrectly. Also we have had issues with projects being archived. If the amount of time between when a project has been logged could be extended, that would be great.

We use Desktime which seamlessly integrates with Basecamp our Project Management Software. This easily allows us to keep track of where our time is allocated and increase productivity. It is very easy for our team to use. I love the "screenshot" feature.

I do not like how all the team members can see all the projects.

You can keep track of time automatically when you start your computer.
You can check the start and end time
It is possible to analyze which fields can be focused on work.
It is nice to be able to visually check the time wasted.

When you click on software on the taskbar
Response is a bit slow.
It's a bit disappointing that the design isn't luxurious.
It would be nice if the charts and expression methods were diverse.

I like how detailed and granular the reports are.

The UI could be modernized somewhat, and perhaps customizable email reports would be helpful.

Easy to use whenever the employer is located in the world. All employees will be logged in Desktime when they work, and the employer has the authority to check on all employees, see their arrival, time of spending on different programs, and their absence daily, weekly, or even monthly.

That DeskTime tracks every single web or program and names it. Depending on the employees' work/responsibility, it is a necessity to check on programs that are even unproductive, even though it's not true. It affects productivity and effectiveness.

Cross-platform compatibility (MacOS-X, Windows, iOS, Android), Simplicity, Beautiful design, simple application assignment

I'd love to drill into details about a certain time period, productivity status etc. For example, if I have a block of an unproductive period, I'd like to be able to click on it in a report to see where have I spent the unproductive time (or productive, or neutral).

The graphs and the summary stats. It is clear. If anything, I would add even more stats.

Maybe there is room for some basic analyses on how you are able to focus or what you need to chill. I think that it could also work as a "blocker", as it serves similar needs.Whenever you want to see a page you have previously banned, it should block you. Then it would be not just a time tracker, but a productivity tool.
